"Q101 signed off for the last time at their studios in the Merchandise Mart at around 1 A.M. on 7/15/11. D.J.'s Pogo and Chris Payne shared in announcing the last song The Cure's "Friday I'm in Love." Which was the first song the station played when it signed on in 1993."

101.1 is now WWWN News in Chicago. Q101 and the intellectual property thereof was purchased by Broadcast Barter Radio Networks who is currently redeveloping the station from scratch.
